Below are the standardized requirements for participation at Miami Modest Fashion Week, designed to uphold the event's commitment to modesty, professionalism, and inclusivity. 

These guidelines ensure that all designs align with the ethos of modest fashion while fostering a respectful and innovative environment. 
   

• Length Standards: Skirts or shorts must extend 1-2 inches below the knee to maintain modesty in silhouette and form.
• Coverage: Cleavage exposure is strictly prohibited to uphold the modesty standards of the event.
• Shoulder and Upper Body: Revealing skin around the shoulders or any part of the body above the knee is not permitted, ensuring a consistent approach to modest coverage.
• Slit Restrictions: Open cut slits at the back and/or front of skirts or long dresses are not acceptable above the knees, as they contradict the modesty criteria set forth.
• Form and Fit: Outfits should not overly accentuate the body or skin. Utilization of an outer coat or long coat is recommended to maintain a modest aesthetic during the Fashion Show.
• Material Transparency: The material of any garment must be non-transparent to avoid any unintended exposure, howeve , utilization of an outer coat or long coat is recommended to maintain a modest aesthetic during the Fashion Show.
• Headwear: Wearing hijab, headscarves, or turbans is optional, providing flexibility to participants from diverse backgrounds
• Muslim Attire:  If a hijab is worn, it must adhere to the standards of appropriate Muslim attire, honoring cultural and religious practices. For runway models, this means adhering to specific nail measurements in Islam. Additionally, wearing a bustier outside of the dress is not permitted.
• Beauty Products: Skincare and cosmetic products showcased should be Halal, Kosher, or Plant-Based, aligning with ethical and inclusive values. 

These guidelines are implemented to respect the diversity and values of all participants, ensuring Miami Modest Fashion Week remains a pioneering platform for modest fashion. Designers, brands, and exhibitors are require these standards guide line , showcasing the versatility and innovation within the parameters of modesty.                                                

FASHION RUNWAY & TRADE SHOW REQUIREMENT &  PROCESS

STEP 1 | FASHION RUNWAY & TRADE SHOW REQUIREMENT

• ELIGIBILITY to participate in MIAMI MODEST Fashion Week requires  a minimum of two years in business for companies or designers.

• EXCEPTIONS may be made for businesses operating for less than two years, subject to review by the MMFW Organization Council based on other supporting experiences or criteria.

• Collections should showcase modest men’s or women’s ready-to-wear, haute couture, resort wear, leisure wear, or activewear. Please review our FASHION PLATFORM platform to align with our vision

• GROUP PARTICIPATION must be set up with one representative on behalf of the group. This can be done through a government agency or other designated representative

STEP 2 | FASHION RUNWAY & TRADE SHOW - APPLICATION PROCESS 

• Upon receiving your application and completed questionnaire, our team will review your submission. You will be notified via email regarding the status of your application and whether it has been accepted.

• Applicants are asked to provide two industry-based references: Example a buyer or press write up.

• Social Media handle or website.

• Applicants may be asked to submit additional supporting information, especially for an International Participation.
